Job Summary Execute timely, thorough, and time‑bound penetration testing of applications and infrastructure assets to identify exploitable vulnerabilities across MUFG assets. In addition to traditional penetration testing, this role leads and executes AI‑enabled penetration testing and adversarial assessments of machine learning models, large language model (LLM) integrations, AI‑driven applications, and supporting pipelines. The role is responsible for assessing the security, resilience, and misuse potential of both traditional and AI‑enabled systems in regulated enterprise environments.
This includes validating controls, identifying exploitable weaknesses, and translating findings into clear, actionable remediation guidance. The role also mentors and trains junior team members and peers and prepares clear and concise reporting on issues found including severity calculation, steps to reproduce, and mitigation and remediation recommendations.
Qualifications and Education • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; applicable specialized training; or equivalent work experience • 5+ years of experience in application and infrastructure penetration testing utilizing industry‑standard methodologies such as OWASP and the MITRE ATT&CK framework • Operational experience penetration testing two or more of the following technology areas:
• Network infrastructure (routers, switches) • Security products and services (firewalls, IDS, IPS, AV) • Active Directory, servers, services, desktops, and mobile devices • Operating systems (Windows, Unix/Linux/AIX) • Databases (MySQL, SQL, DB2) • Cloud and container technologies including AWS, Azure, Oracle, and Kubernetes Visa sponsorship/support is based on business needs. We do not anticipate providing visa sponsorship/support for this position.” The typical base pay range for this role is as follows: New York / New Jersey: $144k - $194k Non–New York / New Jersey: $144k–$180k Depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
