About the Role
We’re looking for an Workplace Experience Lead who thinks like a host, operates like a founder, and sweats the details.
This role owns the in-office experience end-to-end—from how the space feels when you walk in, to the quality of coffee, to the energy during lunch and events. You’ll design an environment that supports deep work, spontaneous collaboration, and meaningful shared moments.
Events are a core part of how we build culture at Replit—from team lunches to launches, offsites, and community moments. You’ll treat these experiences like a product: intentional, well-executed, and continuously improving.
Food, snacks, and beverages are not an afterthought—they’re part of how we bring people together. This is a hands-on role for someone with startup experience who can build systems from scratch while keeping quality high.
What You’ll Do
Own the Foster City Experience
Create a workplace experience that feels intentional, welcoming, and distinctly “Replit”
Act as the day-to-day host of the office—setting the tone, energy, and standards
Continuously gather feedback and iterate quickly to improve the in-office experience
Partner with Workplace Leadership and internal teams to align the workplace with how Replit works best
Lead Events & Experiences
Own the planning and execution of internal events (team lunches, demos, launches, offsites)
Design experiences that bring builders together and strengthen culture
Manage event logistics end-to-end (vendors, run-of-show, budgets, setup/teardown)
Introduce new, creative event formats and continuously raise the bar on quality
Ensure events feel seamless, intentional, and reflective of Replit’s brand
Build & Run a Best-in-Class Food Program
Own the full food and beverage experience: meals, snacks, coffee, and everything in between
Curate offerings that are high-quality, diverse, and genuinely exciting
Develop relationships with local vendors, chefs, and suppliers
Ensure consistency in quality, presentation, and availability day-to-day
Introduce new ideas regularly (rotating menus, themed meals, seasonal experiences)
Manage budget thoughtfully—maximize impact per dollar
Maintain food safety and operational excellence
Operate & Scale the Workplace
Own day-to-day office operations (supplies, cleanliness, layout, maintenance)
Build lightweight, scalable systems that grow with the company
Manage vendors and contracts across food, facilities, and events
Anticipate needs before they become problems
Think Like a Builder
Treat the workplace and events as a product—measure, iterate, improve
Use feedback, observation, and data to guide decisions
Move fast, test ideas, and refine based on what works
Stay plugged into trends in workplace experience, hospitality, and events
What We’re Looking For
3–7+ years of experience in a startup environment (required)
Experience in workplace management, hospitality, operations, and/or event management
Proven ability to plan and execute events end-to-end
Strong ownership mindset—you don’t wait to be told what to fix
Deep attention to detail and high standards for quality
Experience managing food programs, catering, or vendor relationships
Excellent organizational and execution skills
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from 0 → 1
Strong interpersonal skills—you naturally create positive, human experiences
Nice to Have
Background in hospitality, culinary, or food & beverage programs
Experience running offsites or large-scale internal events
Experience at high-growth startups
Passion for food, coffee, and creating memorable in-person experiences

This is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
