About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate or Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in either St. Louis, MO, or Daytona Beach, FL. This pivotal role focuses on provisioning and managing complex lab environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructures, including Azure and AWS. The successful candidate will develop and orchestrate automated integration testing workflows, manage deployment pipelines, and provide actionable feedback to development teams to enhance product stability and performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of aerospace technology, collaborating across multiple segments to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software solutions. The role requires a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and testing orchestration, with a focus on continuous improvement and security compliance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, complemented by a minimum of three years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, cloud engineering, or software development roles. They should demonstrate proficiency in provisioning and managing lab environments both on-premises and in cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible is essential, along with familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (EKS, AKS). Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, along with experience in CI/CD automation tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps, are required. Additionally, knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch) and an understanding of security best practices in cloud environments are critical. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as CKA, AWS DevOps Engineer, or Azure DevOps Engineer, along with experience deploying and troubleshooting production Kubernetes clusters and implementing security compliance frameworks.
Responsibilities
Design, provision, and maintain scalable lab environments on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Develop and manage automated integration testing workflows that aggregate inputs from multiple program segments, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and timely feedback.
Manage and optimize automated deployment pipelines and mechanisms for both physical and virtual systems, ensuring reliable and repeatable software delivery.
Orchestrate data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to deliver insights on product stability, performance, and integration issues, facilitating continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including development, QA, security, and physical lab teams—to align deployment strategies, testing requirements, and environment configurations.
Integrate security best practices into provisioning, deployment, and testing processes, supporting compliance with relevant standards and frameworks.
