About NACM The National Association of Credit Management (NACM) is the nation’s leading professional association serving business credit and financial professionals.
About the Role The Manager of Client Growth & Strategic Relationships is a client-facing leadership role responsible for expanding NACM’s Secured Transaction Services (STS) through client engagement and new business development.
STS supports approximately 200 organizations in protecting receivables, reducing bad debt, and improving cash flow predictability. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of client success, operations, and revenue growth, ensuring clients achieve measurable financial outcomes while positioning NACM as a trusted partner in risk mitigation and cash recovery.
Candidates must reside in the D/M/V area. When not traveling on business, this position is required to work onsite in Columbia, Maryland.
Why This Role Matters The STS Group is one of NACM’s most significant revenue drivers and growth platforms. This role directly influences client retention, revenue expansion, and new client acquisition, while elevating NACM’s visibility and reputation in the marketplace.
Core Responsibilities
1) Client Growth & Relationship Leadership
Serve as the primary relationship owner for key STS clients, developing a deep understanding of their business, financial risks, and operational challenges.
2) Business Development & Market Expansion
Build and manage a targeted pipeline of prospective clients, engaging decision-makers across credit, finance, legal, and operations. Drive revenue by promoting, selling, and securing orders from new and existing customers. This includes representing NACM in the market, delivering compelling presentations and solutions, and converting prospects into long-term clients.
3) Operational Alignment & Execution
Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience—from onboarding through ongoing service delivery. This includes aligning workflows, maintaining service quality, and ensuring timelines and compliance standards are consistently met as the business grows.
4) Strategic Contribution
Contribute to NACM’s growth strategy by providing insight into market trends, client needs, and service opportunities. This role plays a key part in strengthening NACM’s position as a trusted advisor and thought leader in secured transactions and credit risk.

Qualifications
Required
• 7+ years of experience in client relationships, business development, or related roles
• Demonstrated success growing client relationships and generating revenue
• Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage processes and deliver results
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Analytical thinker with a solution-oriented approach
• Ability to work onsite in Columbia, MD
Preferred
• Experience in construction credit, secured transactions, or legal/compliance services
• Background in business-to-business credit leasing, credit management or similar
• Familiarity with liens, bond claims, and/or UCC filings
• Experience working in multi-state or regulated environments
• NACM certifications (CBA, CBF, CCE) or equivalent knowledge

Salary and Benefits
This position includes a base salary, commissions paid quarterly on business earned, and a comprehensive benefits package including holidays, vacation, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k and more
Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
