Are you a proven leader in residential HVAC and Plumbing who knows how to build great teams, drive results, and create a culture people want to be part of?
We're looking for a General Manager to lead our Beltsville, Maryland operation. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes ownership, develops people, and knows how to balance customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and business performance.
As the General Manager, you'll have full responsibility for the success of the business—including operations, financial performance, customer experience, and team development. You'll have the support of a strong leadership team and shared services partners while maintaining the autonomy to run your market and make key business decisions.
What You'll Do
• Own the full P&L, including revenue growth, profitability, and operating performance
• Lead and develop managers and frontline team members across service, install, sales, and office operations
• Create a culture of accountability, coaching, and continuous improvement
• Drive operational excellence throughout the customer journey, from initial call to completed job
• Review KPIs and financial performance regularly, identifying opportunities and addressing challenges quickly
• Recruit, hire, and retain top talent
• Partner with HR, Finance, Marketing, and Operations leaders to support business growth
• Ensure exceptional customer experiences and maintain a strong local reputation
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue, increase memberships, and expand market share
What We're Looking For
• Previous General Manager experience in residential HVAC and Plumbing
• Strong P&L management experience with a proven track record of driving profitable growth
• Experience leading cultural transformation and building high-performing teams
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people-development skills
• Strong financial and operational acumen
• Ability to create accountability while maintaining a positive and engaging work environment
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service
• Experience in a private equity-backed or multi-location environment is a plus
