Job Description Job Title: Applied AI Engineer (STAR.OS Portfolio) Location: King Of Prussia, PA (On-site or Remote options available) Company: Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) Job Description: The LAIC team is seeking a highly motivated individual to work on the STAR.OS portfolio, developing AI solutions from prototypes to deployment. The role focuses on rapid iteration and maturation of solutions within small, innovative, agile teams. Key Responsibilities: Develop software products implementing AI for cutting-edge customer capabilities. Engage in all phases of system development lifecycle (requirements, design, implementation, integration, flight test). Participate in proof of concepts, prototypes, demonstrators, and production transition. Apply object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms to solve complex problems. Utilize concurrency (threaded and multi-processing) and I/O (block storage, network, database). Assume technical lead responsibilities and mentor junior engineers. Required Skills & Experience: Strong background in AI and software development. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience as a technical leader and mentor. Proficiency in object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms. Familiarity with concurrency and I/O concepts.
