About The Role
The Marketing Manager, Hereditary Cancer at Myriad Genetics is a strategic and execution-oriented role responsible for leading downstream marketing initiatives targeted at genetic experts and healthcare providers. This position involves developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies for Myriad’s Hereditary Cancer portfolio, including products like MyRisk and RiskScore. The role requires translating clinical evidence, clinical utility, and value propositions into compelling marketing campaigns across multiple channels to increase awareness, educate, nurture, and convert target audiences. The successful candidate will operate at both strategic and tactical levels, ensuring alignment with product development, regulatory standards, and market needs in a highly regulated diagnostics environment. This role also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure field readiness, optimize marketing performance, and support product launches and expansions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, life sciences, biology, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred
5–7+ years of experience in healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or pharmaceutical marketing
Proven experience launching healthcare products with accountability for downstream marketing execution
Experience in genetics/genomics, oncology, or diagnostics industry strongly preferred
Ability to translate complex clinical and scientific concepts into clear, compelling marketing materials
Experience working in a regulated healthcare environment with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
Own and execute downstream marketing strategy and activation for the genetic expert customer segment, focusing on MyRisk and RiskScore products
Develop and translate positioning, messaging frameworks, and value propositions into creative collateral and campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels
Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing plans covering awareness, education, nurture, and conversion stages
Manage launch timelines, milestones, and commercial readiness plans to ensure successful product introductions and expansions
Optimize marketing efforts based on field feedback, performance metrics, and market dynamics
Partner with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Sales, Medical Affairs, and Communications to ensure field readiness and effective adoption of marketing initiatives
Develop sales tools, training materials, and customer-facing assets that communicate the clinical utility of Myriad’s products
Establish feedback mechanisms with field teams to continuously improve messaging and marketing materials
Gather and analyze customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy and optimize marketing efforts
Track and report on marketing performance metrics, applying insights to refine tactics and channel strategies
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive and timely execution of marketing initiatives
