Vice President for Enrollment Management (ECP) POSITION DETAILS Reporting to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Vice President of Enrollment Management (VPEM) will be responsible for leading and advancing enrollment priorities across all campus units, to achieve enrollment, retention and student success goals. The VPEM is a member of the President’s Cabinet and a member of the College-wide Review Committee, informing strategic decision-making at the highest levels of the College. (Campus-specific Information and duties) • Provide visionary leadership for a comprehensive enrollment and retention management strategy that aligns with the College's mission and strategic goals. -Provides strategic leadership of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, the Student Academic Success Hub (the Hub), the One Stop Student Services Center, Testing and Faculty Evaluation, Scheduling and Faculty Workload, CCNY Edge, CUNY ASAP, College Now, Early College Initiatives, Campus-wide Academic Momentum Initiatives, including transfer affiliation agreements and the 1847 Initiative, and develops enrollment strategy. • Provides institutional enrollment management leadership throughout the student life cycle, including student retention and completion. • Supervises the Chief Academic Advisor to lead and coordinate academic advising practices across the College’s schools and divisions. • Develops and implements enrollment strategies and annual plans to meet institutional priorities as defined by the mission of the College, the Strategic Plan, and institutional goals and objectives. • Supervises a comprehensive, multi-channel student communication plan. • Promotes effective use of EAB Navigate to identify students who are at risk earlier in the semester. • Promotes effective use of an array of tools, including DegreeWorks, CUNYfirst, 4-semester schedules, and Coursedog to increase students’ academic planning. • Collaborates with campus offices to fully leverage student management systems’ capabilities to enroll students. • Convening regular meetings with campus stakeholders to evaluate enrollment results and goals, assessing future enrollment projections, and collaboratively determining required changes to ensure enrollment targets are met. • Identifying and employing enrollment best practices and technologies in higher education to drive delivery of quality service to students. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations governing financial aid, admissions, and records management. -Plans and implements change management processes including workflow, systems, and training, as necessary to ensure successful business transformation. • Develops and coordinates an integrated data and information flow model for enrollment and retention. • Retrieves, analyzes, and utilizes relevant primary and secondary data to inform planning, decision making, and management practice. QUALIFICATIONS This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will possess a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, eight years of progressive experience in higher education and an outstanding record of accomplishment. The successful candidate will possess a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, eight years of progressive experience in higher education and an outstanding record of accomplishment. • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, communication, and managerial skills and the capacity to be collaborative. • Demonstrate success in developing and executing enrollment and retention strategies with measurable results. • Track record of using data and research to inform and drive enrollment and retention strategies. • Knowledge of current trends and practices in student services and the ability to create and implement “cutting-edge” progressive initiatives. • Ability to organize and implement change. • Ability to interview, select, train, supervise, and evaluate a diverse staff. • Demonstrate a leadership style that is collaborative and effective in achieving institutional priorities. • Skilled in maintaining a fair and decisive leadership style with the ability to make independent judgments. • Demonstrate the determination to achieve objectives, particularly when subject to time/cost constraints. • Knowledge of policy formulation and methods of analysis to establish practical policies and provide effective guidance in decision-making.
