About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Search Infrastructure team at Moveworks, a ServiceNow company. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing core infrastructure services and microservices that underpin our machine learning, frontend, and platform teams. Your responsibilities will include developing distributed configuration management systems, rate limiting, feature flagging, A/B testing, and traffic capture and replay mechanisms. You will focus on improving the performance, scalability, and observability of Moveworks' cloud infrastructure to support our rapidly growing platform. This position requires a collaborative mindset, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver deadline-sensitive projects, own features end-to-end, and influence the infrastructure roadmap. This is a hands-on, in-person role that offers the opportunity to impact core systems at a high scale and contribute to innovative solutions within a fast-paced environment. Qualifications 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang, Java, or C++. Hands-on experience with containers and Docker. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. Experience working with and managing open-source technologies at scale, including Kafka, Elasticsearch or Opensearch, Istio, Vector DB, etc. Strong desire to work in a startup-like environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability. Proven ability to solve performance, scalability, latency, and monitoring challenges. BS degree in computer science or a related field. High curiosity about engineering outside of immediate discipline and a continuous learning mindset. Motivated, resourceful, and capable of completing challenging projects efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities Develop and maintain core infrastructure services and microservices that support machine learning, frontend, and platform teams. Enhance the performance, scalability, and observability of Moveworks' cloud infrastructure. Deliver high-quality, deadline-sensitive work in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Own the full lifecycle of features, from design through implementation and maintenance. Influence the infrastructure roadmap by providing technical expertise and innovative solutions. Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions.
