1. About Our Client: This organization operates in the grocery industry, focusing on the complex challenge of managing fresh food. Using proprietary AI developed for high-volatility environments, the program supports major grocery partners in making smarter decisions across their enterprises. After a 70% revenue growth in 2025, it has expanded to six enterprise-grade solutions, deployed across more than 10% of the U.S. grocery market. The platform handles billions of decisions daily, from store floors to distribution centers, and has helped prevent over 200 million pounds of food waste in the past year. 2. About the Opportunity: The Senior Data Engineer will be instrumental in enhancing the integration and processing of customer data. This role involves designing and implementing ETLs to handle large volumes of data and building tools to accelerate, improve accuracy, and scale customer integrations. The position also contributes to developing new platform features, directly impacting the speed and ease of customer onboarding and the effectiveness of machine learning solutions for grocery operations. 3. Responsibilities: • Build tools and frameworks to streamline customer integrations for faster onboarding and improved data handling • Develop robust ETLs using PySpark and DBT to process billions of customer records with accuracy and reliability • Research and implement new technologies to address current challenges and anticipate future platform needs • Collaborate with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to create data solutions for new features • Optimize ETL runtimes and data processing scalability to reduce integration time and effort • Address data quality issues by working with incomplete or inconsistent customer data to extract reliable insights • Mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and provide clear feedback to support team development 4. Requirements: • Extensive experience designing and maintaining ETLs for large-scale datasets • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and familiarity with platforms/tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, or DBT • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle ambiguous or incomplete requirements • Practical focus on delivering impactful solutions balancing technical rigor and efficiency • Experience managing complex, unclean datasets with innovative processing approaches • Ability to identify automation opportunities that simplify workflows and reduce manual effort • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences • Demonstrated leadership in technical projects and willingness to mentor others 5.
